We booked Rio Kosta because this is the kind of band you don’t scroll past, you feel it instantly.

Mike Del Rio and Kosta Galanopoulos make music that sits somewhere between soul, psych, funk and something harder to pin down. It is warm, hypnotic, and built on pure chemistry. Two voices blending into one, grooves that lock you in without trying too hard, bass that hits exactly where it should.

Their whole approach is simple: “Don’t mess with nature.” You hear that. Nothing feels overworked. A lot of their music came out of late-night sessions in Los Angeles where ideas just happened. Tracks like Unicorn and Ancients grew from those moments, including a sample from Kosta’s father’s Greek folk recordings. It adds depth without losing that easy, flowing feel.

Live, this clicks even more. They stretch songs, play with energy, and pull the room in. Sometimes as a duo, sometimes with a full band, but always tight. They have already built a strong name in LA, supported Hot Chip, and if you like Khruangbin, you will get why this works.
