BIRDsessions x North Sea Round Town: 100 Miles Ahead: A Jam Session Tribute to Miles Davis

For this special edition of BIRDsessions, presented as part of North Sea Round Town, we celebrate an artist who never stopped pushing music forward. Miles Davis didn't just shape jazz history, he constantly rewrote it. From bebop to cool jazz, from fusion to funk, he spent his entire career exploring new territory while the rest of the world tried to catch up.

On July 8, we honour that spirit with 100 Miles Ahead, a live tribute and open jam inspired by Miles' relentless drive for innovation. This isn't about recreating the past. It's about embracing the curiosity, risk-taking, and musical freedom that defined his work.

Led by an outstanding lineup of musicians, the evening explores the many worlds of Miles Davis: deep grooves, fearless improvisation, timeless melodies, and unexpected turns.
