On February 19, 2027, Yong Yello comes to BIRD. And yeah, this one's going to be a good one.

You probably know the Antwerp rapper from tracks like Als Ge Slaapt, Cirkels, Waanzin and Luchtkasteel. His debut album Marcel & Het Magnetisme Van De Goot put him firmly on the map, taking him from sold-out venues to major festivals. But Yong Yello clearly wasn't planning on stopping there.

His new album Bennie & De Banaliteit Van Ons Bestaan takes us inside the head of Bennie: a guy who wants it all. Career, money, nice car, big house, the whole package. The only problem? Having more doesn't necessarily mean feeling better. And that's where things get interesting.

Musically, Yello doesn't really like staying in one lane either. Hip-hop meets soul, funk, French sixties sounds and Latin influences, all tied together with sharp lyrics, catchy melodies and a healthy dose of self-awareness.

Expect good beats, strong stories and plenty of moments that make you move, think and probably recognise yourself a little too much.
