For this edition of BIRDsessions, five creative talents from the Netherlands come together on our stage for a short, groovy set that kicks off the weekly jam!

The Maltese bassist Dean Montanaro, known from bands such as Su Nichel, Antares Flare, and more recently BIRD's own The Nest Vol. 4, has enthusiastically assembled this energetic group of fresh talents to open the evening. Their music is situated at the crossroads of modern jazz and soul, with influences from alternative pop and North African music. These tracks will be presented to the audience for the first time, with some specially written for this session.

After this set, the jam session opens up and everyone is welcome to join in, so don't forget to bring your instrument!
