On Wednesday June 17, BIRD transforms into a musical tribute to Ghana.

Andromeda brings together creators from the Netherlands and beyond for a special evening centered around music, culture and community. This edition is dedicated to Ghana and the iconic genre Highlife, the soundtrack of generations where African rhythms, soul, jazz and funk come together.

The evening opens with an inspiring talk exploring Ghanaian culture, art, music and community.

Join host Ashlee Janelle alongside panelists Junya and Tasha Slagtand for an engaging conversation on music, culture, identity, and community. Drawing from their diverse experiences and creative practices, they will explore the role of art in shaping connections, inspiring change, and building cultural bridges. Expect thought-provoking insights, personal stories, and fresh perspectives from voices active within contemporary music and culture.
