Some artists have been on our wish list for a while. anaiis is one of them. On 27 February 2027, BIRD and Motel Mozaïque Concerts welcome the French-Senegalese, London-based artist to BIRD Rotterdam for an intimate live show rooted in soul, alternative R&B, neo-soul and jazz.

anaiis makes music that feels personal, warm and expansive. Her voice sits at the centre, surrounded by rich harmonies, live instrumentation and deeply felt songwriting. Across her work, she explores identity, love, motherhood, justice and personal growth, creating songs that feel as thoughtful as they are soulful.

Her 2025 album Devotion & the Black Divine marked a major step in her journey, reaching more than 20 million streams and earning praise from The New Yorker, The Guardian, Rolling Stone UK, BBC 6 Music, Crack Magazine and CLASH. The New Yorker also named Green Juice among its songs of the year.

Recent singles Sunshine and P4P show two different sides of her sound. Sunshine is bright, warm and full of movement, built around layered vocals and lively instrumentation. P4P turns outward, bringing a stronger political edge while keeping the emotional depth that runs through all of her music.

Born in Toulouse and raised between Dakar, Dublin and Oakland, anaiis draws inspiration from artists and thinkers including Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, James Baldwin, bell hooks and Octavia Butler. Since releasing her debut EP Nina in 2018, she has built a growing international audience through acclaimed releases, COLORS performances and live shows. She has toured with Daniel Caesar and Mereba, and shared the stage with Erykah Badu.

In early 2027, anaiis heads across the UK and Europe with new and unreleased music. Rotterdam is part of the journey.
