Autumn is here, time to turn over a new leaf. A new BIRDsessions residency will help us do just that. Grab your passport, tour guide Nello Biasini takes you on a musical trip of the world. We start in New Orleans, transfer in London, go back to Detroit and finish in our hometown of Rotterdam.

New Orleans

There’s no better place to start our round trip than New Orleans. Back to where it all started, when the blending of cultures, emotions and skills led to the birth of jazz. Being the birth place of jazz legends like Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and Trombone Shorty, we know exactly what to expect this night. If you think you’ll be listening to covers all night, you’re wrong: Nello would rather describe himself as a ‘jazzy’ musician than a jazz musician. That means a lot of original compositions with that signature New Orleans sound, but it also means a unique touch of Nello!
