Shafiq became a big player with his producing and beat-making skills for Sa-Ra: the golden, three-part creative collective consisting of Grammy Award-winning producers Keith (Frank Ocean – Channel Orange) and Taz Arnold (Dr. Dre – Chronic 2001, Kendrick Lamar – To Pimp a Butterfly). In 2009, Shafiq Husayn dropped his highly respected first solo record: Shafiq En’A-Free-Ka. After a decade in the making , he released Loop this year.
