On Wednesday 30 September, Mamas Gun take the stage at Annabel Rotterdam. The acclaimed UK soul outfit brings its new album DIG! to the city as part of One Love, BIRD's two week celebration of 15 years of music, culture and community.

For 15 years, BIRD has connected artists, audiences and venues across Rotterdam. Some stories happen on our own stage, others are built through collaboration. This show is presented by BIRD, LantarenVenster, Rotown and Motel Mozaïque, four cultural organisations working together to strengthen Rotterdam's live music scene and bring exceptional artists to the city.

Led by singer and songwriter Andy Platts, also known for Young Gun Silver Fox, Mamas Gun have earned an international following with their unmistakable blend of soul, funk, jazz and pop. With millions of streams, sold out tours and a reputation as one of the strongest live bands in modern soul, they continue to raise the bar with every release.

Their sixth studio album, DIG!, marks a return to the band's roots. Recorded entirely on analogue tape, the record embraces groove, musicianship and warmth over perfection. The title track features legendary keyboardist and composer Brian Jackson, adding another layer to an album that feels both timeless and fresh.

On stage, Mamas Gun are all about chemistry. Tight rhythms, rich harmonies and effortless musicianship come together in a live show that is dynamic, soulful and impossible to stand still to. Expect new music, including the powerful single Food For The Flames, alongside the songs that have made them a favourite with audiences around the world.

This concert is part of One Love, celebrating 15 years of BIRD from September 18 through October 01. For two weeks, we celebrate the people, music and collaborations that have shaped BIRD since 2011, together with the artists, partners and community that continue to define Rotterdam's cultural scene.
