On Thursday, 24 April, Izo FitzRoy will come to Rotterdam. Her music is a mix of the raw power of blues legends like Janis Joplin, the sincere lyrics of soul artists like Bill Withers and her own gospel roots.

We are pleased to have Izo FitzRoy perform at BIRD on Thursday, 24 April. After the success of her debut album, she toured throughout Europe and collaborated with artists like Kraak & Smaak, Smoove & Turrell, and Lovebirds. She played at sold-out shows in the United Kingdom and Europe and appeared in October on the famous TV program ‘Later with Jools Holland’, alongside Sampha, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, and Christone “KINGFISH” Ingram.

Her music is made for live performances: sincere lyrics with tight and melodic grooves. With her band and a unique lineup of 9 gospel singers, she elevates her performances to another level, making her live shows truly special.

In 2024, Izo performs at SXSW and works on her fourth album, a new mix of folk, psychedelic funk and soul. The album is being produced by the well-known Swedish producer Sven Wunder.
