On Saturday 12 July, Ghost-Note takes over BoogieBall – the iconic North Sea Jazz afterparty at BIRD. Led by drum phenomenon Robert “Sput” Searight and percussion wizard Nate Werth (both from Grammy-winning Snarky Puppy), Ghost-Note is an all-star funk explosion. The lineup includes players who’ve worked with Prince, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Marcus Miller, Justin Timberlake and Toto, enough said.

Ghost-Note channels the spirit of James Brown and Sly & The Family Stone, then flips it with afrobeat, hip-hop, psychedelia and global grooves. Their 2018 album Swagism made serious noise, featuring guests like Kamasi Washington and Karl Denson, but live is where the magic hits.
