BIRDsessions: ENRICO NERI QUARTET

BIRDsessions is a musical playground for artists, musicians and curious ears. A place where you never quite know what’s going to happen, where new music takes shape, new bands come together, new friendships begin and new sounds are discovered.

Every week, we put the spotlight on a different act from Rotterdam’s jazz scene and beyond. Come listen, come play, meet new people or simply see where the music takes you.

This week: Enrico Neri Quartet

From north-east Italy to New York and eventually Amsterdam, drummer Enrico Neri has explored a wide range of musical worlds. From rock, funk and electronic music to jazz and R&B, his musical background is as diverse as his playing.

After studying at The Drummers Collective in Manhattan and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, he became part of Amsterdam’s vibrant music scene, connecting with musicians from different backgrounds. Among his projects is Chief’s Condition, where modern jazz meets hip-hop, Latin grooves and electronic sounds.

With the Enrico Neri Quartet, groove takes centre stage, leaving plenty of room for improvisation and influences that move in different directions. Expect a fresh take on jazz, shaped by diverse musical backgrounds and a shared love of rhythm and experimentation.

Join us at BIRDsessions, tune in and see where the music takes you.

See you at BIRD!
