Every Wednesday night, BIRD comes alive with the BIRDsessions: where established artists and fresh talent meet on stage. On October 1st, it’s MAIN (Jermaine Berkhoudt) who will be leading the session. MAIN is a multifaceted artist whose creative journey spans hosting, MCing, sound design, and acting. At 19, he joined the indie hip-hop label VanIeder1 (2010–2015), where he released the album Jaar vd/ Blokhoofd. As frontman of funk band Funky Organizers (2014–2017), he gained extensive live experience with Popronde 2015, tours in France, and major summer festivals. With MCJR & Th’Acquisition, he went on to win both the audience and jury awards at the 2017 Sena Grote Prijs van Rotterdam.

After a period of growth and reflection, Jermaine returns as a solo artist under the name MAIN, bringing a fresh sound with his LEEF:TIJD EP, a project that reflects on time, maturity, fatherhood, and personal evolution.
