BIRD x V11 present an artist who’s been a quietly essential force in the UK scene for years, now stepping into a new chapter with his first full-length album.

Tom Ford, singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer, releases his debut album goodbye, forever in 2025. For Tom, this record marks a creative rebirth: moving past old ideas and stepping into a freer, more adventurous version of himself. The music pulls from everywhere, flashes of The Police, The Smiths, Allan Holdsworth and Milton Nascimento, but always with improvisation at its core.

The album features heavy hitters like Chris ‘Daddy’ Dave, Frederico Heliodoro, Anatole Muster, Otis Sandsjö and Logan Kane. But live, Tom flips the script: a stripped-back trio, often joined by Chicago vocalist and artist Chase Alex. Less polish, more pulse. Post-punk and new wave aesthetics, filtered through a guitarist deeply rooted in jazz.

Over the last decade, Tom has been a steady presence at places like Ronnie Scott’s and Jazz Café, and a go-to sideman for Reuben James, Jas Kayser and Jay Phelps. He’s also toured internationally with Chris Dave’s Drumhedz, Keyon Harrold and many others, while producing and writing across LA, NY, Europe and Brazil.
