Detroit royalty is coming to Rotterdam. Slum Village – the legendary hip-hop group led by T3 and Young RJ – brings their soulful beats, raw flows, and rich musical legacy to BIRD.

Formed in the early '90s in Conant Gardens, Detroit, by T3, Baatin and the iconic J Dilla (then still known as Jay Dee), Slum Village quickly became a cornerstone of underground hip-hop. Tracks like Tainted, Fall in Love, and Selfish (feat. Kanye West & John Legend) pushed their sound to global audiences. After Dilla’s passing in 2006, T3 and Dilla’s protégé Young RJ took the reins, with a deep respect for the past and their eyes firmly on the future.

With albums like Villa Manifesto, YES (featuring posthumous Dilla productions), and the recent F.U.N. , featuring artists like Cordae, Elijah Fox, Larry June, and Eric Roberson Slum Village continues to push the boundaries of soulful, intelligent hip-hop.
