On Friday 30 October, Ruben Hein returns to the stage at BIRD. The pianist, singer and songwriter is known for his warm voice, distinctive piano playing and soulful pop songs. Since his debut album Loose Fit (2010) and the breakthrough single Elephants, he has built a versatile career with multiple albums, EPs and collaborations with artists such as Jonathan Jeremiah, Oleta Adams and Benjamin Herman. He has also worked with the Metropole Orkest and the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw.

Recently Ruben moved in a new musical direction. With the singles Weatherman and Radio Silence, created with producers Remme ter Haar and Stephan Cuny, he returned to the soulful foundation where it all started, enriched by everything he has learned over the past years. On 20 February 2026 he released his newest single Say Something You Mean, continuing to build this new chapter.

For Ruben, 2026 is fully dedicated to new music. With a series of releases throughout the year he is gradually shaping this next phase. During this club show at BIRD he will share that development live for the first time. Expect new songs, a refreshed live set and a renewed energy on stage.
