Ross From Friends is coming to BIRD! Not the geeky Friend obsessed with dinosaurs, but lo-fi house producer Felix Weatherall, in The One Where BIRD Loses Its Mind. After sold-out shows throughout Europe and spots at festivals like Dour and Montreux Jazz, Ross From Friends now brings his energetic live performance (check the Boiler Room set!) full of nostalgic house, guitar solos, keys and sax to BIRD.

Weatherall’s love for electronic music stems from his techno-loving parents. Under the moniker Ross From Friends he produces minimalist, trippy house à la Four Tet and Boards of Canada, combined with danceable melodies that make you long for the pop and dance culture of the 1990s. After the success of the track ‘Talk To Me You’ll Understand,’ Weatherall signed on to Brainfeeder, Flying Lotus’s label. After EP Aphelion, they also released full length debut record Family Portrait: a record full of nostalgic sounds updated for the 21st century. This record was praised by NME as ‘That innate connection your mind and body should feel when allowing it to succumb to the hedonistic power of dance music.’ A connection we’ll definitely feel tonight!
