Born in the coastal city of Maceió, Nyron creates music that feels spacious, warm, and deeply personal. A composer and multi-instrumentalist, he’s part of a new generation reshaping Brazilian music by blending regional traditions with modern production and a fresh, open sound. Think of contemporaries like Bruno Berle or Batata Boy, the same gentle depth, the same love for melody, space, and soul.

His debut Fio de Lâmina (2022) quickly caught the attention of Gilles Peterson, Mr. Scruff, and John Gomez. His new self-titled album (January 2025, Far Out Recordings) dives even deeper: lyrical, emotional, beautifully crafted, and always carried by his signature bass lines.

Critics call him “a new Brazilian star,” and stations like BBC Radio 1, NTS, KEXP, and NPR have embraced his sound, but live, his music hits on a whole other level.
