Kossa Kossa is The Afro Jam Of Rotterdam, connecting rhythmic and melodic threads between Africa and the African diaspora. Groovy, warm, and vibrant, Kossa Kossa showcases the richness and depth of Black music worldwide. They blend live instrumentation, storytelling, and electronic elements to create an experience that celebrates our shared cultural connections.

For this edition, we invite Illnoledge a cosmic brother duo formed by Stephen “Steve Hartley” Linger and Milton “Mill Voyance” Leo Linger. Drawing from their Caribbean ancestry and musical upbringing, they fuse afrobeat, soul, latin, jazz, and reggae into hypnotic rhythms, mystical melodies, and spiritually coded lyrics. Their name is an acronym: I.L.L.N.O.L.E.D.G.E.  Intuitive, Limitless, Liberal-minded, New-fangled, Original, Luminous, Educative, Dedicated, Genuine, Elevators.

Rooted in ancestral memory with a futuristic mindset, Steve and Mill see themselves as messengers channeling music from a realm beyond linear time where past, present, and future flow as one. Their debut album Everlasting was recently released, following standout performances at Super-Sonic Jazz Festival and Milton Court London. Now, they’re ready to bring their energy to Rotterdam and jam with us.
