Cautious Clay, the moniker of singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Josh Karpeh from Brooklyn, brings his fresh, genre-blending sound to Rotterdam. Think: an eclectic mix of lo-fi electronic pop, hip-hop, indie, soul, and R&B. He broke through in 2017 with the hypnotic Cold War, a track later sampled by none other than Taylor Swift.

Following his jazz-infused debut album KARPEH, he now dives deeper into the rhythms of daily life with his latest project: The Hours: Morning. This conceptual album feels like a mixtape, guiding listeners through an emotional journey from sunrise to the morning rush. Each of the eight tracks is tied to a specific hour of the day, capturing Karpeh’s emotional state in that moment.

For this project, Karpeh took a bold new approach stepping outside the familiar confines of the studio to embrace creative freedom on his own terms. The result? Over sixty new tracks, with the most personal and layered making it onto this release.
