Thursday 30 October 30 it’s on again: Super-Sonic Jam takes over Skatecafe, in collaboration with BIRD, House of Knowledge, and OSHI. Don’t expect a regular show. This is a night packed with musicians, beats, improvisation, and pure freedom.

It all started in the basement of Paradiso during the Super-Sonic Jazz Festival, musicians and visitors jamming deep into the night, simply because they could. That same energy now lives on at Skatecafe, where Super-Sonic Jazz, BIRD, House of Knowledge, and OSHI join forces to connect the communities of Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Two cities, one sound.

Every edition, Super-Sonic Jazz invites a different host to take over the stage. From London’s Steam Down to Haarlem’s INI Movement and Amsterdam’s Higherlife Jam, every night brings its own fire. And yes, every single one has sold out.

Who’s hosting this next jam remains a mystery for now, but trust us it’s going to be something special. Expect soulful improvisations, surprise guest musicians, vocalists that give you goosebumps, and a crowd that grooves as hard as the band. This isn’t a concert; it’s a vibe.

Come early, grab a pizza at Dick & Dick (from 18:00 to 20:00, behind Skatecafe), and get ready for what’s coming. Because once the jam kicks off, there’s no stopping it. And if you’ve still got energy left after, stick around for a set by SIEM, one of Super-Sonic Jazz’s resident DJs, who’ll keep the night flowing with deep, soulful grooves.

Super-Sonic Jam is part of OSHI, a collaboration between music venues and talent development platforms in Haarlem, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and The Hague. Together, they’re building a sustainable infrastructure for emerging artists to grow artistically, professionally, and personally. OSHI is a joint initiative by Patronaat, Popcentrum Slachthuis, Stichting INI Movement, BIRD, House of Knowledge, Paradiso, Super-Sonic Jazz, PAARD, and Orisun Studio.
