Anton’s back. On Saturday 18 October, he’s celebrating the release of his new album Sounds of the Eclipse at BIRD and trust us: this is one you’ll want to experience live.

If you’ve been around the Rotterdam music scene, you know Anton. Not just as the keys player behind acts like Dragonfruit and Peter Somuah, but also as a producer, mentor, and all-round creative force. BIRD has been a kind of second home for him over the years, so it only makes sense he’s dropping his new project right here.

Following his debut Imaginarium (2024), and performances at North Sea Jazz, Valkhof, and Grasnapolsky, Anton’s now heading into new sonic territory. Sounds of the Eclipse is a deep, dreamy journey through dub, afrobeat, reggae, jazz, and electronic layers. Danceable, but with meaning. It’s about change. About underground currents. About nightlife as a space of freedom.
