I am Rogier van der Sluijs, 44 years old, and the new head chef of Jazzpodium BIRD! I have been working in the hospitality industry for many years and have worked in various places, gaining a lot of experience. From banqueting to amuse-bouches and from grilling to stunning desserts, I've had the opportunity to do it all. It remains a wonderful profession. Cooking is always about emotion for me, and it is my pleasure to give guests a good feeling.

Besides my work in the kitchen, I like to draw and paint, especially realistic art. Thankfully, I can express a lot of my creativity in the kitchen, so it's the perfect combination for me!

When I was looking for a new challenge, I quickly ended up at BIRD, and the click was there immediately. After my application, I quickly got to know the company, just like my colleagues. BIRD is truly a place where you work together. Together, we must ensure a well-oiled machine.
