FAQ

When is BIRD open?

BIRD is open 5:30 p.m.–1 a.m. on Tuesday through Thursday and 5:30 p.m.–4 a.m. every Friday and Saturday. BIRD is closed on Sunday and Monday.

How old do you have to be to get into BIRD?

At least 18, or under supervision from a parent or guardian.

Can you scan tickets on your phone?

Yes, we can scan tickets from mobile phones (and we prefer this over scanning paper tickets).

How far is BIRD from Rotterdam Central Station?

BIRD is just a hop, skip and a jump from Rotterdam Centraal. View the route here.

What’s parking at BIRD like?

There are plenty of parking spaces in at the front and back of BIRD. Parking is paid during these times:
● Front: every day between 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.
● Back: (cheaper: €2 per hour): Monday–Saturday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Sunday between 12 and 6 p.m.

Can I pay by debit card at BIRD?

You certainly can! In fact, in BIRD’s restaurant and café, you can only pay by debit. During club nights, you pay using coins (which you can only buy with a debit card). You can still use cash at the toilets and cloak room.

Why do tickets cost €2,50 extra online?

We’ve outsourced our ticket service to a third party, Stager. That means there’s a service charge which can also not be refunded.

Can I get a refund for bought tickets?

Purchased tickets will not be returned. You can donate your concert ticket through us to a welfare organisation, for which we cooperate with GroenGoed and Groente Zonder Grenzen, among others. This way, you make another fellow townsman happy with a concert. If you want to do that you can send an email to info@bird-rotterdam.nl.

In principle, BIRD always refunds money when an act is cancelled, except in the case of government measures, which count as force majeure for BIRD. Service fees are never refunded and/or converted into a credit.

I can’t buy tickets through the website, now what?

If you’re having problems, get in touch with info@bird-rotterdam.nl or through www.stager.nl/support (only for ticket problems) right away.

The website says this concert’s sold out. Is there really no other way to get a ticket?

We’re afraid not. You could always check the Facebook event to see if people are selling their tickets.

What’s the difference between the presale and the CJP presale?

CJP is a discount card for people aged 30 or under. Cardholders get discounts on all kinds of cultural activities in the Netherlands such as theater performances, movies, museum visits and concerts, like the concerts in BIRD.

I just heard a great act/band! How can I recommend them to you?

Send your tips straight to play@bird-rotterdam.nl and our programmers will see them. Unfortunately, they can’t send a (substantive) response to all messages, as they get a lot of emails every day. We hope you understand.

Should I make a reservation for the restaurant?

You can book ahead or just drop by. You can make a reservation online using the links below, or call us on Tuesday through Saturday between 3 and 6 p.m. on +31 10 737 11 54.

Is BIRD accessible for wheelchair users?

The restaurant, café and stage room can be access by wheelchair users. The third arch isn’t entirely accessible, because you need to take a small stairway with two steps in order to reach it. However our staff is always ready to help! There’s a staff toilet available for wheelchair users, although it does not have a grab bar. Ask the staff for more information.

Do you serve gluten-free pizzas?

Not yet, unfortunately! The chef will be developing these. Until then, we do have other gluten-free dishes.

Can I buy earplugs at BIRD?

Oh yes! You can buy them for €2 at the cloak room and coin desk.
