Typhoon’s album Lobi da Basi went platinum some time ago. Sold-out tours and raging shows at festivals like Lowlands, Pinkpop and North Sea Jazz Festival fell to him. The singles ‘Hemel Valt,’ ‘Zandloper’ and ‘Surfen’ were embraced by 3FM, and Typhoon was the house band of Dutch talkshow De Wereld Draait Door. In 2017, the single ‘Wereld van Verschil,’ a collaboration with Dutch band BLØF, was the Dutch-language song played most often on Dutch radio.

Back to basics

After a period of rest and inspiration, Typhoon will once again climb on stage for a number of acoustic performances this summer. He will be joined by some of the members of his Titanenband to play new interpretations of his best-known songs, new songs and more.

What to do with a shed you’re squatting in, an enormous greenhouse and a lush and wild garden in the port of Rotterdam? Kim Pieters and Kelly Vincent turned it into a cultural hot spot, of course! In Rotterdam, the duo is known as the creators of De Geheime Tuin and Club K, but they’ve now created an operating base. Weelde is a creative free state, where eating, drinking, events, art, workshops and entrepreneurship come together.
